Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is to support the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our fabrication shop. This is a hands-on, first-shift position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining shop equipment and tools to help keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and compressed air systems on shop equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electric and pneumatic hand tools
- Perform maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling equipment
- Operate and assist with maintaining fabrication equipment
- Use plasma torches and oxygen/acetylene torches
- Perform general preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Assist with other shop and facility maintenance needs as necessary
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with industrial or fabrication equipment preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with gas and diesel engines
- Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
- Experience with plasma and oxygen/acetylene torches
- Welding experience is a plus
- Dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working independently
The primary work location will be within a manufacturing facility equipped with modern machinery and tools. The facility is designed to provide a controlled environment for welding operations. General start and stop times vary depending on the project, but normally range from 6:00am-4:30pm, normally working four (4)-10 hour days.
